Thank you card!

I just love this colour combo (don't I always say that? LOL). Pink Passion, Gable Green and Whisper White. The So Swirls roller was used for the background (another one of my faves) and to add texture I used the crimper. It's so easy and it just gives that added dimension and texture to a card. The butterfly is from the Pretty Amazing set and Thank you is from Wonderful Words. For that added sparkle I used glue and diamond glitter. The funnniest thing happens with glitter. I was making this card with a friend of mine and I did the typical thing and was covered in glitter. The funny thing is....I wasn't even making the card she was! It worked out perfect because we were all glittered up and ready for a girls night out! I hope you enjoy and thanks again!

Spinner Card

This is a spinner card that I made at Nancy's party. I didn't really realize how much I just love this So Swirls roller....this is card number 3 in my blog! LOL! This time I kept it subtle rolling with Tempting Turquoise in on coordinating card stock. I used the word window to puch out the slot for the spinner to spin in and stamped Wish Big from the Short and Sweet stamp set in Tempting Turquoise on whisper white cardstock (CS) mounted underneath.
I stamped a flower from the Priceless stamp set in---you guessed it---Tempting Turquoise! You know what I love about the Stampin' UP! punches--besides the fact that they are so easy to use? The stamps and punches coordinate and fit just perfectly, it just takes the guess work away! So with that said I punched out the flower with the 1 1/4" circle punch and punched a cirlce out of Chocolate Chip CS with the 1 3/8" circle punch. I added some Chocolate Chip ribbon and that's more or less it. Stay tuned for the tutorial I will be putting together for the spinner cards. This next spinner card is for the wonderful child in your life. I used Green Gable CS and used randomly stamped some of the animals from Wild About You stamp set in Green Galore. I just love the little penguin in this set.....and with the popularity of penguin movies lately what little kid doesn't? Wait a minute...did I just call myself a kid? LOL...well there's some truth in that...I'm a big kid at heart...LOL. With the bright colours and cool spinning action it's a really neat card for that special child on your life. Although, I know a few adults that have had fun spinning the card back and forth...LOL. Well as I said earlier I'm going to try to create a tutorial for a spinner card and figure out how to post it on the blog....just for all of my creative friends out there!

Celebrate!

This is a card that I've been working on lately, where I've done a couple of versions. This first card is done on Chocolate chip cardstock and rolled with the So Swirls jumbo roller in whipser white ink. I love the So Swirls roller, it just looks so elegant and it's so easy to do! On the whisper white card stock I stamped the flourishes from the Priceless stamp set in Sky blue, and Celebrate from the Wonderful Words stamp set in Blue Bayou. When the In Colours retire in July I will be so sad, they are some of my favourite colours! The bird was stamped on Tempting Turquoise card stock with Black Stazon ink. A little snip and little clip and a pop dot completes the bird! This next card was actually the one I made first. For a more subtle look I rolled So Swirls with Pretty N Pink ink on coordinating card stock. The same flourishes from Priceless were stamped in Sky Blue as well as the Celebrate from Wonderful Words in Blue Bayou. To accent the card I used some stick on gems in pink and traced the flourishes with a clear gel pen. Add a little coordinating ribbon and voila! You're done! Easy Peasy!
